Your reiki session

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique where practitioners use gentle hand placements just above and on the client's body directing the energy to promote healing, reduce stress and support the body's natural well-being.

To prepare for our Reiki session, opt for a light, nourishing meal and drink plenty of water. Please avoid a heavy meal to prevent your body from diverting energy toward digestion, and skip caffeine, alcohol, and excessive sugar for 12 to 24 hours prior to help keep your system calm and centred. Please drink plenty of water after the session as well.

Before we start,  we may have a brief conversation about the your current health, goals, or areas of tension. However, this is not necessary and I can do a full treatment without any prior insight.

I will invite you to start our session by standing or walking on the foot massage mat for 2-5 minutes to awaken the foot reflex zones. It has rubber nodes that mimic walking on a natural pebble path. Foot massage mats (or reflexology mats) use acupressure spikes or simulated cobblestones to target specific meridians and pressure points on the soles of your feet. It is completely optional.

Our session will take place in a quiet room, usually with calming music playing in the background. You will remain fully clothed, lying face upwards on the treatment table, covered by a light blanket. I will then guide you with a gentle breathing exercise and short meditation that aims to promote relaxation and lead you into the energy healing part of our session

During the session I will place my hands gently on or just above your body,  usually starting at your head, gradually moving towards your feet. There is no massage, tissue manipulation, or pressure. The touch is very light and non-invasive.

While I hold the hand positions for a few minutes each, you might experience sensations like localized warmth, tingling, or a gentle pulsing. Many people enter a deep meditative state or fall asleep.

Once the hands-on portion is complete, I will gently wake you up and offer you a glass of water. I may share any impressions from the session, ask for feedback and suggest drinking water to stay hydrated.

Distant reiki session

Distant reiki are energetic healing sessions conducted remotely via phone or teams call, offering the same focus and relaxation in your own home.

A distant reiki session is an energy healing treatment where a practitioner sends reiki to a client who is not in the same physical room.

We can first have a chat by phone or TEAMS so that you can share your goals or areas to focus on with me. I will then ask you to lie down or sit comfortably in your own quiet space while I work remotely using special distance symbols to direct energy to you without physical touch. You are welcome to light a candle, incense and wrap yourself in a cosy blanket - whatever may help you to relax for the duration of the reiki session.

You will have a chance to ask any questions you may have at the end, we can chat or email afterward to share what you felt or noticed during the session.
